Dr. Sabina Fazli

I have recieved my M.A. in English Language and Literature, Comparative Literature, and Cultural Anthropology and additional qualification in Intercultural German Studies from Göttingen University where I also completed my PhD thesis. My doctoral work was on Victorian sensation fiction and the sedimentation of the past, crimes, and identities in material objects. It has been shortlisted for the Göttingen Graduate School of the Humanities’ dissertation award and is forthcoming as a book. I have joined the Obama Institute in 2017 as a ‘Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin’ and my current research focuses on the aesthetics, materiality, and affect of magazines and magazine reading.
