Marlene Winkler, B.A.
wiss. Mitarbeiterin, Abteilung Banerjee
I am a doctoral researcher in Professor Mita Banerjee’s team. My general research interests lie in Gender and Queer Studies, Body Studies, and Aging Studies.
I received my B.A. in American Studies at Johannes Gutenberg-Universität, Mainz. I am still pursuing my M.A. in American Studies, to be completed in the summer of 2026. Over the course of my studies, I had the opportunity to teach German and Theater for two semesters at the University of Limerick, Ireland.
Currently, I am working on my dissertation with Professor Mita Banerjee and Dr. Ruth Gehrmann within the framework of the Collaborative Research Center “Studies in Human Differentiation” (CRC 1482), which is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The specific project we are working on is titled “Best Agers/Best Places. Successful Aging and Spatial Human Differentiation” (E01).
